Moonstone City is an immense collection of songs and stories from artist and songwriter Geraldine Png. It’s truly unlike anything you’ll have heard in recent years, and just barely lands in time to be classed as an album – by this I mean, there are moments when it really feels like an intense piece of musical theatre. Musically, it is a terrific journey into Geraldine Png’s masterful composing, stellar singing, and intense lyrics that remain compelling even after repeated listening. Like peeling an onion, every subsequent listening of “Child In Your Eyes” reveals new layers of expression by Geraldine. Sometimes it sounds very retro, and at others instantly futuristic.

The melodic, structural, and lyrical elements are vastly more mature, honest and insightful than most of what I hear in popular music. But what I feel really makes this stand out is Geraldine Png’s creative use of multi-tracked harmonies.

What a difference from the standard radio-pop fare being offered everywhere. She is a very smart and observant person, and it shines through every time she sings. Her music is such an interesting mix of styles and sounds great. I am Geraldine Png, a singer & songwriter raised in Singapore and residing in  Los Angeles, CA. 

Am a recovered alcoholic since 1999. A born again Christian in 2003 which Moonstone City album was conceptualized.

I had narrated my personal journey in the songs starting with Moonstone City to Goodbye Moonstone plus additional songs whom certain individuals may identify.  And may help others start their personal journey by making that very important choice.

That choice I made was about my soul salvation.
